Membership
Housing Alliance members agree to our values and policy goals, participate in our workgroups and policy development, and vote on our annual legislative priorities and agenda. For-profit entities are considered associate members, which participate in the Alliance and its workgroups but do not vote on our legislative agenda. The Alliance is funded by membership dues, which pay for our staff, a contracted lobbyist, and program expenses such as travel and events — including membership meetings and lobby days in Salem.
Dues structure:
Our dues structure, updated in 2024, recognizes that our coalition includes a wide range of organizations, with a wide range of budgets. There are seven categories of coalition members:
- Affordable Housing Developers and Providers
- Public Housing Authorities
- Nonprofit and Community Organizations
- Community Action Agencies
- Local Government Jurisdictions
- Industry Allies
- Associations and Coalitions
These categories include tiers reflecting organizations’ varying sizes and capacities, each with a range for the dues amount that members are asked to contribute. The two categories that include for-profit entities (#1 and #6) have separate ranges for nonprofits and for-profits. The complete dues structure is available here.
