Legislators Tour Portland’s Affordable Housing Projects
On September 5th, Oregon legislators and policymakers participated in a tour of affordable housing projects in Portland, largely in the historic Albina neighborhood.
2024 Legislative Session Report
In this short 35-day session, the Legislature made significant investments in homelessness prevention ($41 million), emergency shelters ($65 million), and housing production (over $300 million, across a variety of programs and infrastructure projects). Additional Housing Alliance priorities that were funded include $5 million for individual development accounts (IDAs) and $1 million to establish a grant fund for tenant outreach.
2024 Housing Opportunity Day
On February 8th, over 100 advocates, community members, and policymakers gathered in Salem for Housing Opportunity Day, a collaborative effort organized by the Oregon Housing Alliance, Housing Oregon, the Oregon IDA Initiative, and Residents Organizing for Change.
